Wildlife Invasion
4/25/2019 (Permalink)
Wildlife invasion is prominent during the spring and fall seasons. In the spring, most wildlife and birds mate and look for safe, protective nesting sites. Many times these sites are within overhangs and attics in homes. Some pests, such as mice, live their lives within the home in your walls, under your floor boards and in your attics.
A number of issues come about from having animals, birds and mice in your home such as mites, parasites, or the death of one of these creatures. If you have ever had a dead animal in your walls, you can attest to the smell. Dead animals and birds also attract bottle flies that then lay their eggs and produce larvae (ie: maggots). These flies are living off the carcass of the dead animal or bird, possibly landing on numerous food products and surfaces within your home, depositing germs and bacteria.
It sounds gross, because it is gross. But that is nature taking its natural course.
